cats sleep anywhere

With acknowledgement, and apologies, to Eleanor Farjeon (1881 - 1965) for the abuse of her poem.

Cats sleep anywhere,
any trailer,
any chair.
Top of camping fridge,
 awkward wedge,
  in the middle,
 on the edge.
 Open suitcase,
empty pool,

anybody's lap'll do.
Fitted in a gift-wrapped box,
in the cupboard with your frocks.
Anywhere! They don't care! Cats sleep anywhere.

  1. Hey! That was MY gift. No wonder my ginger liked it so much.

  2. Oh I loved this! Both Shaun and I adored this poem as children. And we both love huge ginger moggies. What a lovely post. x

  4. oh, that's awesome...especially in the baby carrier seat thingie. and i like the peek of the closet as well. our cat sleeps mostly on the prime seating in the living room...and she's psychic about which chair it is the people would like to be sitting on, so she's sure to choose it.

  5. A ginger kitty is a very special thing. And that poem's been a fav of mine since childhood too.
Our other (black) cat also needs a post now, will need something much darker for her though ...
And ja, what is it about cats and knowing just where's the least convenient (to you) place to sit? Like on ALL the baby gear, or one's underwear basket!
