What is it about kids and puddles?

Like moths to a flame.

I've recently discovered there is no better cure for a bout of the winter glumps, then gumboot walking on Rondebosch Common.

All you need is a break in the weather and a sense of adventure,

a little bit of curiousity ...

... and dry pants in the car for the trip home.

  1. My 16 year old still loves puddles; he just drives through them now.

  2. Indeed...my car has a constant stash of dry trousers for just this reason. the puppy is, however, even worse than the children. He can sniff out huge muddy puddles at 20 paces and then launches himself in. He's a long haired CREAM labradoodle, oh the mess....

  3. Hi , thanks for visiting my blog!
Lovely pictures, and so great that your kids are having fun in the puddles.
Ours are bigger now and have the same fun riding bicycles through them, but I have loads of memories of puddles both in London, Battersea park and here on our farm when they were little. We had some all in one rubber trousers with braces and they still managed to get soaked!
